Up for auction is a set of original Bendix performance 4 piston disc brake calibers. The calibers have been disassembled, acid dipped, sandblasted and finished with a red ceramic paint. Included in the auction is the piston springs and new pads. The seal kit and pistons will need to purchased seperately to make this set complete. There is a brake distributer that sells the piston and seal kits on eBay. The bleeder port whole on one of the caliburs was broken and has been welded closed. One of the caliburs also has a broken rim top where the piston slides into place, this will not effect the preformance of the seal ring. This item was refurbished for a project, however an NOS part was used in place.

Preferred form of payment is Paypal. I will except other forms of payment if arrangements are made before the close of auction.

This item can be shipped world wide at the buyer's expense. Shipping will be calculated at the close of auction. If you have any questions, please e-mail me prior to the end of auction.

-- In the Netherlands, the street lights are expensive to run. Who knew? Hence, a much more striking vision of the future: a luminescent paint applied to the roads so its markings glow at night -- for as long as eight hours.

Kubrick's Jaguar memories: XJ12s and more

Tue, 08 Jun 2010

Once upon a time there was a small boy, about seven years old, who had taken an interest in cars at a rather early stage, mainly thanks to his old man, who was (and, thankfully, still is) a car enthusiast and, back in those days, a staunch supporter of a certain Southern German marque. This naturally meant that the small boy would sometimes be a bit annoyed by his father's occasionally overbearing passion, but at the same time usually knit his eyebrows himself whenever he came across something sporting four wheels but no blue & white propeller (which, he believed, was the way things were supposed to be). So the foundations had been laid to turn this very young chap into a proper petrolhead one day, but his interest remained relatively casual and moderate until that one fateful evening.
