This is J-22573, Steering Column Holding Fixture Set originally made for 1967-68 Buick, Cadillac, Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, Chevy & GMC Trucks & AMC with Energy Absorbing Column (EAC). See the scans below from the 1967 Olds & AMC Essential Tools Bulletins below. Also useable for holding any cylindrical surfaces with 1 7/8” minimum diameter; these hard plastic blocks are suitable for clamping in a vice, and will protect your column, or any metal and even plastic tubing, while holding securely for work. Good condition though a bit dirty, this tool is **NOW OBSOLETE** and probably only available here. Check your service manual for use. Perhaps sensing that it's at risk of going the way of the carbureted big-block and leaded gasoline, the United States Postal Service is apparently willing to try anything to boost its bottom line. Though we're sure its recently announced line of postal worker-inspired apparel will be a runaway (and runway) success, we're glad to see the USPS reaching out to the automotive-enthusiast community with a new set of limited-edition stamps that commemorate the American muscle car. We told you about the stamps earlier this year, but we can now confirm the lineup.

The revival of the DeTomaso name sparked an instant nostalgic focus on the infamous Pantera supercar. The Deauville, as unveiled at Geneva, was anything but the low-slung two-seater that people were anticipating.
