This is an originl GM 4 series 12 bolt posi carrier for 60's and 70's Chevrolet car rear end. Number is EDB-30174 which is a 4 series carrier. Should work for 4.10 and numerically higher gears I am pretty sure (4.10 4.11 4.56 4.88). The carrier Comes with the clutches and a few other parts. Sorry but the side gears and spider gears are not included. The bearing surfaces are nice and never had a bearing spin on them. The pin hole is not perfect but is usable. Carrier has been cleaned.

Volvo V40 teased again ahead of Geneva [w/video]

Wed, 15 Feb 2012

Volvo has released an unusual cartoon teaser video for its new five-door V40, together with an additional image. The animated video features a flock of birds perching on power lines before all but one fly off. Being left on its own to dance on the lines, before fading to black with the words 'Be One of a Kind' appearing before advertising the car's imminent arrival.  Meanwhile the image (left), showing the car in silhouette, gives little away about the design, unlike Volvo's first sneak peek (right), released in December last year.

Electric car world record on single charge – but it’s pointless

The Japanese Electric Vehicle Club did 632 miles in this Electric Daihatsu Mira Van When car endurance records are set they feel relevant only if they are real-world records. Records set by a car you can buy doing something you could do. A bit like Tom Ford’s run to Munich and back in a BMW 320d ED last week when he managed over 1,000 miles on a single standard tank of fuel.

Subaru BRZ Turbo confirmed

Tue, 06 Dec 2011

Subaru BRZ Turbo - which should be good for 300bhp Subaru in the US has confirmed that they are planning to build a turbo version of the new Boxer engine in the BRZ to create the Subaru BRZ Turbo. Finally, after promises that it was on its way for what seems like ever, we saw the arrival of the production versions of the Subaru BRZ and Toyota FT-86  at Tokyo (which had a small name change and arrive as the GT86). But what was a disappointment was that despite Subaru saying the BRZ would come with ‘less than 300bhp’, it actually came with almost exactly the same power as the GT 86 – a much less enticing 200bhp.
