This auction is for one lower steering column bearing and support assembly for 67 & 68 Chevelle, Camaro, and Impala with a Tilt column shift automatic, floor shift automatic, or floor shift manual trans steering column. We also manufacture a simular item for these applications with a Non Tilt steering column. Check out my other items! This assembly replaces GM #5698423 & 5699296 adapter, and 7806142 bearing.

This lower bearing support is manufactured from Delrin material, the bearing is new and is made in the USA. This assembly installs into the mast jacket like the original and attaches to the mast jacket with two small stainless steel scews that are included rather than the plastic clips that was used originally. This installation results in a much more secure fit for the lower bearing. No modification to the steering column is needed to install this assembly.

We also manufacture a total of 14 different lower bearing assemblies that cover most all GM applications from 1958 thru 1995. Not just Chevelle, Nova, Camaro, and Impala but also Buick, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Cadillac, and Chevy and GMC Pickups, GM Motor Home chassis as well as P series vans and Cab-Chassis units. Most of these have been discontinued from GM for several years.

We can custom manufacture a lower bearing assembly for your special product. If you need a single part or 1000 pcs. contact us.

We also manufacture and overhaul tilt and standard steering columns for most GM, Ford, & Mopar cars and Pickups from 1948 thru 1995. Just a few of the 2,400 different tilt steering columns we manufacture are 55-57 Chevy, 67-68 & 69 Camaro,62-66, 67, 68, & 69-74 Chevy II & Nova, 58-68 Impala, 64-66, 67, 68, & 69-72 Chevelle, 48-53, 54-55, 55-59, 60-66, & 67-72 Chevy Pickup, 63-69 Mopar cars, 60-69 Falcon, 64-69 Mustang, 60-69 Comet and 62-69 Fairlane, 48-67 Ford Passenger cars, and 48-79 Ford Pickups. From parts to overhaul service we can get you on the road. Volvo’s ‘World Premier’ is a bit of a damp squib

Fri, 17 May 2013

We had been hoping – and, to a degree, expecting – that Volvo’s big ‘World Premier’ they’ve been teasing for today would be the new Volvo XC90, a long overdue replacement for the (still surprisingly good) current model which is now more than a decade old. But it’s not. Instead, the big news is that the facelift Volvo XC60 is getting a global launch with Swedish House Mafia’s ditty ‘Leave the World Behind’ as its sound track.

Chrysler Sebring Convertible

Wed, 29 Nov 2006

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 29 November 2006 09:43 America’s best-selling convertible arrives here a year from now – complete with right-hand drive layout, tax-friendly turbo diesel power, metal folding roof, sharpened dynamics and a £22k price. Unveiled at this week’s Los Angeles motor show, the all-new Sebring will come with the choice of either a Volkswagen-sourced 2.0-litre 140bhp turbo diesel fourpot or Chrysler’s own 189bhp 2.7-litre V6 petrol engine, hooked up to six-cog automatic or manual boxes. Chrysler’s engineers claim that roof down, the new convertible is two and a half times stiffer than its predecessor, which is just as well as the previous model – which was sold in minute quantities here back in 2001 – had all the torsional rigidity of a wet bath sponge.

New Jaguar XJ: an owner’s review by Richard Madeley

Richard and his new Jaguar XJ outside the Colomb d'Or Restaurant in Saint-Paul de Vence. Regular readers will remember that Richard Madeley took a Jaguar XK Convertible for a blat down to Cornwall and back last year to give us his feedback. If you read that piece it won’t shock you to know that our old mate Richard has been waiting patiently to take delivery of a new Jaguar XJ since then.
