     This auction is for one lower steering column bearing collar, spring, and set screw kit. This collar provides tension on the lower column bearing. These parts are brand new USA made in North Carolina. The kit comes with a new collar PN 2880 014, correct new spring PN 2880 226, and new correct square head set screw PN 455 700. These are usually rusted beyond reuse or missing alltogether. On many applications this part is directly under the Master Cylinder and brake fluid drips on the collar and rust will destroy it in short order. Bob Lutz reportedly to stay on at General Motors

Bob Lutz, General Motors vice chairman and internationally renowned product guru, has reversed his retirement plans and is expected to stay with the remade car company as it charts a new path out of bankruptcy. Multiple media outlets are reporting Lutz, 77, has changed course and will not retire from GM at the end of the year as he had planned. Automotive News, citing anonymous sources, says the veteran industry leader will stay on at the company, possibly in a marketing or communications role--and could have product input.
