Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept: Los Angeles Auto Show (video)

The Mercedes GLA 45 AMG Concept has been revealed in LA Over the weekend we had a teaser video from AMG for the GLA 45 AMG Concept, although Mercedes didn’t actually name it as such. But a GLA with the same powertrain as the A 45 and CLA 45 AMG is exactly what Mercedes’ AMG concept tease was, and it’s now been revealed in LA ahead of a likely debut in production form in 2014. The GLA 45 AMG Concept gets bold graphics – something buyers would be unlikely to want – and 21″ forged alloys painted matt black with a red rim and red brake callipers to shout its intent.

Lewis Hamilton takes pole for tomorrow’s Brazil Grand Prix in Sao Paulo with Jenson Button alongside as the 2012 F1 season reaches a climax. The 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix at the Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo is supposed to be all about Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull going head to head with Fernando Alonso in the Ferrari for the 2012 F1 Drivers World Title. KoenigSaab coming soon?

Koenigsegg are in the running to take over Saab Saab were given Swedish Government protection recently (similar to Chapter 11) to try and find a suitor or funding to operate independently. Of course they can’t do that completely, at least not in the short term, as they are so tied in to GM’s platforms on their current and soon to be released cars. But Saab has a strong – if quirky – history and, with the right backing, could stand alone as a niche maker of aesthetically individual cars.
