Umea Institute of Design degree show 2009

Featuring the work of both graduating diploma students and those completing the first year of their MA in Transportation Design, this year's exhibition brought together a diverse range of themes, ranging from futuristic interpretations of existing brand DNA to new concepts in car production, usage and forms. Toyota SAI – New Toyota Hybrid
Fri, 02 Oct 2009The new Toyota SAI will be based on the Lexus HS250 (pictured) Update 20/0/09: The Toyota Sai has now been revealed. The Toyota SAI is going to launch on the 20th October in Japan. To all intents and purposes it is a Lexus HS250 under the skin and features a similar drivetrain to the new Prius, but with a 2.4 litre petrol engine instead of the 1.8 litre in the Prius.

In a back-to-front chain of events we actually drove a prototype version of the new Honda Civic Type R in 2013, but this concept has just been unveiled at the 2014 Geneva motor show. Though CAR actually had a sneak preview of the new Civic Type R Concept a few weeks ago… That if Honda’s designers get their way the new Civic Type R will look like a race track refugee.
