Because although it was claimed that the V8 being developed would be used as an entry-level lump for the Continental GT – a nod to more frugal times – we did think it likely it would be more than that. NTSB calls for nationwide ban on use of mobile electronic devices while driving
Tue, 13 Dec 2011The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has called for a nationwide ban on the use of personal electronic devices while driving. “According to NHTSA, more than 3,000 people lost their lives last year in distraction-related accidents,” said NTSB chairman Deborah A.P. Hersman.
McLaren worker critical after crash
Tue, 24 Jun 2014A MCLAREN WORKER was left critically injured after the supercar he was driving crashed and left him impaled on a fence post in West Sussex The man, who has not been identified, left the A285 at Duncton and rolled in a car reported to be a McLaren 650S. Sussex Police said he was airlifted from the crash site to St George's Hospital in Tooting, south-west London, with critical injuries. A spokesman for Woking-based McLaren said his family were with him in hospital, adding: "Our thoughts are with our friend and colleague, and his family." A message on McLaren's Facebook page said: "We are all thinking of our friend and colleague following a serious accident on Friday.
