69-72 Gm A-body 69 Ss 396 Original 4 Speed Steering Column With Key on 2040-parts.com
Denver, Colorado, US
You are bidding on the original steering column that came out of my 1969 Chevelle SS 396 car. It was replaced by an aftermarket IDIDIT stainless steel column, and this has been sitting in a box for a while in my garage. You can put it to good use because I don't intend to restore my car so it's no longer needed. It will also fit 1969-1972 Chevelle GTO 442 GM A-Body, and is for a manual transmission. This comes with the Key though the key is not pictured. Why buy aftermarket when you can have the REAL THING! The only numbers I find on it are A 9 105 and I believe the A = January, 9 = 1969, and I don't know what the 105 means. Please do your own research. It would look great with some refreshing and new paint, needs a new blinker cam if I remember correctly, but worked nicely before being pulled. I'm selling a bunch of stuff that I no longer want to keep sitting on the shelves in my garage. I have a number of Trek bikes and Dura Ace, Campagnolo, XTR, XT Shimano bicycle parts, a Big Block Chevy Corvette 396 or 427 intake manifold, and other items. Take a look, make an offer.

McLaren P1 back at the Nurburgring in attack mode
Sat, 19 Oct 2013The McLaren P1 is back at the Nurburgring looking to set a new record It was brave of Ron Dennis to declare – before the McLaren P1 was anywhere close to finished – that the it would be able to lap the Nurburgring in under 7 minutes. He was obviously very confident his new baby was up to the task but, just like McLaren’s current Formula One car, the P1 seems to be just a bit off the pace. Last month we reported that it seemed the best the McLaren P1 could do at the Nurburgring was a 7:04s – a time McLaren didn’t make official – so we knew McLaren would be back with their laptops and engineers as soon as they’d figured a way to trim those last few seconds.
McLaren P1 explained by Anthony Sheriff (video): Paris 2012
Fri, 28 Sep 2012McLaren Managing Director, Anthony Sheriff, explains exactly what the new McLaren P1 Supercar will offer its customers. But the concept P1 does show exactly where McLaren are heading with the spiritual successor to the McLaren F1 road car of the 1990s, and it does look 95 per cent like the production car. We covered what detail we have on the new P1 extensively yesterday when McLaren officially unveiled the P1 in Paris – from its construction to its downforce and active aero – but it’s interesting to get a McLaren view on their new baby, which we have from McLaren’s MD Anthony Sheriff.
Diesel Smart to become UK’s cleanest by 2009
Tue, 17 Jun 2008By Guy Bird Motor Industry 17 June 2008 10:30 From February 2009 the cleanest conventional-engined car you can buy will be a diesel Smart Fortwo. That’s the date set for the launch of a right-hand drive version of the city car brand’s oil-burning two-seater Fortwo coupe and cabriolet already on sale in Continental Europe. The incredible economy and emissions stats – 85.6mpg and 88g/km of CO2 – are streets ahead of current low emitter champions like the VW Polo 1.4 TDI Bluemotion and Seat Ibiza Ecomotive, both offering 74.3mpg and 99g/km.
