You are bidding on the original steering column that came out of my 1969 Chevelle SS 396 car.  It was replaced by an aftermarket IDIDIT stainless steel column, and this has been sitting in a box for a while in my garage.  You can put it to good use because I don't intend to restore my car so it's no longer needed.  It will also fit 1969-1972 Chevelle GTO 442 GM A-Body, and is for a manual transmission.  This comes with the Key though the key is not pictured. Why buy aftermarket when you can have the REAL THING!

The only numbers I find on it are A  9  105  and I believe the A = January, 9 = 1969, and I don't know what the 105 means.  Please do your own research.  It would look great with some refreshing and new paint, needs a new blinker cam if I remember correctly, but worked nicely before being pulled.

I'm selling a bunch of stuff that I no longer want to keep sitting on the shelves in my garage.  I have a number of Trek bikes and Dura Ace, Campagnolo, XTR, XT Shimano bicycle parts, a Big Block Chevy Corvette 396 or 427 intake manifold, and other items.  Take a look, make an offer.

Hyundai HED-4 concept

Tue, 20 Feb 2007

4x4's have become for many shorthand for the cause of climate change, demonised as emblems of irresponsibility. To launch one that pats the environment on the back rather than stamping all over it in neutral, ergo pure, Switzerland is therefore a welcome repost to typical media hysteria. So alongside the unveiling of their new C-segment rival, the FD, Hyundai will present the latest example of their advanced vehicle research, the HED-4 concept.

Videos: Chris Bangle shares his views on design and the future of car design

Wed, 26 Oct 2011

Chris Bangle is a man that needs no introduction on these pages. Both revered and castigated, Bangle's work has undoubtedly been influential for a generation of designers. His unconventional practices – employed at a time when design was still largely segregated from other departments during the development process – yielded many avantgarde and contentious designs, but Bangle's fundamental understanding of the design process, creative vision and desire for change can never be cast in doubt. While Bangle shares his views on the future of the car in the video to the right, the video to the left provides an insight into the former BMW design chief's thought processes and gives us a glimpse into his home and studio in the Piedmont region of northern Italy.
