69-73 Porsche 911 912 400mm Leather Steering Wheel & Horn Pad
Part # 901 347 081 10

If you're restoring, or just maintaining, an early Porsche 911, then you know how difficult it is to find quality interior parts these days. Leather steering wheels are no exception. Basically, you have three choices: 1) Buy a reproduction and feel sick every time you touch it. 2) Have your wheel restored with a new leather cover. The restored wheels actually look pretty nice when they're done right. But while they may look nice, what they don't look is authentic. That new leather will just never look right on a 40+ year old car. Or 3) Buy the very best used wheel you can find,

If #3 is your choice (and it should be), this wheel is a pretty good option. This is an original, 400mm VDM leather steering wheel taken from a 1970 Porsche 911 and showing a date stamp of 11/69 (see photos). This wheel will fit any 1969-73 Porsche 911 or 912. No, it's not perfect. But it's very, very nice for its age with the original leather showing only moderate patina and with tight, original stitching. You'll look a long time to find another one as good as this, especially for this price.

I’m not a dealer and I don’t do this to make a living. I’m a collector who owns more than a dozen vintage Porsches and the parts I have for sale on eBay are all parts that, at one time or another, were purchased for one of my cars or were actually on one of my cars. I own some of the finest Porsches in the world. I don’t own junk and I don’t sell junk. Thanks for looking.
