1969 Cougar Eliminator Rear Wing Spoiler (1 of approx 2250)
If you have a 1969 Cougar Eliminator restoration in progress, or one with the incorrect spoiler I do not have to tell you what this is, or how rare it is. I have had this spoiler for many years, and it has lived through many repaints, there is one pedestal missing which are interchangeable with the far less rare spoilers (Mustang, etc.). There is a crack on the underside that is pictured and some separation also pictured. You will notice the spoiler is hollow and it is very light, and it appears the spoilers were painted prior to the pedestal installation with the over spray of "Bright Yellow" paint (Eliminator color) on the inside in the blade of the spoiler (pictured), the pedestal that is intact is riveted on (not screwed) and the measurement between the pedestals is 30 7/8' with approx 13 1/2" from outer wing to pedestal, and an overall length of approx 58", there is also rivets beneath the pedestals holding the base materials together not sure pvc/urethane ? If you are looking to do a concours restoration, or want your Eliminator to be correct, do not use the incorrect widely re-popped 36" pedestal spoiler. Please only serious bidders, if you have questions please ask prior to bidding, Insured shipping required and recommended they do treat the shipments differently, packaging will be as secure as I can make it, I want this piece to survive and live on. Email for shipping options, questions or more pictures. I did not replace the pedestal, sand and paint to present as restored I left it in the original condition which shows a lot about the life of this spoiler and retained the original pedestal intact with clues for restoration how this spoiler was delivered from the factory, the missing pedestal is a look inside one of these extremely rare spoilers that you will not see on a mounted spoiler. 351W, Windsor, boss 302, 428, 428cj, Cobra jet,4v, 4bbl not 351c, cleveland, |

Whiplash claim legal costs rising
Mon, 04 Nov 2013GOVERNMENT attempts to reduce legal costs from whiplash injury claims seem to be failing. The average legal costs for small, whiplash-like third party injury (TPI) claims now stand at £2,500 per claimant, according to a report by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. The institute said this was a 15% increase since 2010 "when the Ministry of Justice introduced new measures which sought, in part, to contain legal costs".
Smart Forstars concept (2012) first offical pictures
Fri, 14 Sep 2012It's about time Smart gave us another wacky concept, and this cheeky-looking Paris show-goer should do just the trick. It's an electrically-powered two-seater coupe that'll do 80mph thanks to a Brabus-sourced 81bhp battery-powered drivetrain. The 2012 Smart Forstars concept Smart are touting the Forstars as a sports coupe concept, and it does bear a certain resemblance to the now-defunct Smart coupe, thanks to its prominent two-tone bodywork and wheel-at-each-corner stance.
