Condition:Used

This is a used 1969 and Early 1970 Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, and full size Chevrolets with 8 cyl. small block engines front alternator brace (some call it a bracket), GM # 3932410 as shown in Gr. 2.317 in my 1969 Chevrolet Parts catalogs (Oct. 1968 and May 1969)  and my 1970 Chevrolet Parts Catalog (Jan. 1970). According to my 1970 Camaro Assembly Manual (UPC 6, Sheet A4) the 3932410 brace (1st design) was replaced with the 3973396 brace (2nd design, has an extra 1" dia. hole) on 2/11/1970.   The actual change on the production line is unknown as they used up the 3932410 braces until they were gone. I have a 3973396 (2nd design) brace in my collection that was removed from a 1970 Chevrolet made in May 1970.

According to Chevrolet Parts History GM # 3932410 (1969 & Early 1970 models) was replaced with GM # 3973396 (Late 1970 & 1971 models) which was then replaced with GM # 6262956 (1973 & 1974 models. The 6262956 brace has even more holes.

The 3932410 brace is in good condition but should probably be media blasted and repainted.

BEFORE BIDDING potential bidders should do their own research to make sure that this brace is correct for their car.

Shipping will be via the USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority Medium Flat Rate Box ($13.45 max.), fully insured, depending on the zip code of the buyer.

Wed, 23 Jul 2008

By James Foxall and and CAR reader reporter asp Motor Shows 23 July 2008 16:02 Considering Morgan has been making largely the same cars since the Ark was launched it’s a bit much to expect the tiny Malvern firm to have much new to shout about. The firm has actually managed to come up with a new Sport derivative of its evergreen 4/4. The £26,221 model has been stripped out so it now weighs just 800kg.

The return of the Real MINI

Tue, 17 Mar 2009

The MINI Concept - heralding the revival of the Isetta and Topolino marques [ad#ad-1] Back in January, we speculated on the return of the Topolino and Isetta marques in a joint venture by BMW and Fiat to launch a range of super-eco city cars to rival those that manufacturers like VW and Mercedes are developing. And according to Auto Express those plans are getting close to being realised. This is a bold move by BMW and Fiat to gain ground over their rivals with models that offer extreme economy, but sport a legendary moniker to give the models added kudos.

Senate committee sends auto-safety bill to the floor for vote

Thu, 10 Jun 2010

The Senate Commerce Committee voted today to pass a far-reaching vehicle safety bill that has largely won both automaker and consumer support, sending the measure to the full Senate. The bill passed without objections from any senators. The legislation, crafted in the wake of Toyota's safety recalls this year, resembles a House bill that also is now on the floor of that chamber.
