Here we have a complete Mustang Factory 1969 Toploader 4 speed Shifter assembly. This unit was a one year only assembly and was available in Shelbys, Mustang Mach 1 , and Cougars. Complete with the chrome shift handle with mounted knob and boot all of which are original. Holding it all together is working shifter body with a good detent as well as the mounting plate. This ready to install set up is equipped with factory numbered rods, levers. This is exactly the way Ford made it so now you can return your car to stock condition.
You can notice the original design with the wood grain knob to match the deluxe interior it used in cars such as GT500, Mach 1, deluxe interior Bosses and was Ford's exclusive design to accent the interior nicely.
Offered here is a complete original shifter ready to install with aftermarket slide back plate and reproduction shifter knob. The rods, levers as well as the shifter detent are all in good working order and even include the mounting hardware. All parts are disassembled then they are cleaned and inspected.
We then serviced all pieces reconditioning them with spring clips and assembling with lubrication for a sure working assembly. We offer this set up for those that are using an aftermarket like a Hurst shifter (we even take trade ins) and would like to return their car to its original design, this would be your stock solution.

Fri, 17 Aug 2012In results gathered by Hagerty Insurance, $5.8 million worth of cars, trucks and motorcycles were sold Thursday at auctions on the Monterey Peninsula. A total of 190 of 323 lots were sold, for a sell-through rate of 59 percent. The average selling price was $30,511.
