The Chevrolet Trailblazer SUV made its production debut at a special launch event ahead of the 2012 Bangkok International Motor Show and now Chevrolet has confirmed that the vehicle will be available to purchase throughout the world, starting in Thailand in June. The car was created by the GM South America Design Center in São Caetano do Sul, Brazil, and shares a number of design cues with the Chevrolet Colorado, following the brand's global design DNA. The dual-port grille, synonymous with the brand's range, is again present with the bow tie proudly displayed on the horizontal bar.

MINI Speedster back on the cards

Tue, 07 Apr 2009

Mini Speedster from 2001 - looks set to form the basis of a new MINI Speedster Based on the MINI platform, the Speedster version was talked about as long ago as 2001, but never made it to production on the first MINI platform. Small Roadsters, in the vein of the old British open-topped 2 seater ( and its modern ‘Homage’ version – the MX-5) will, I’m sure, see something of a renaissance in the next few years as people start to turn away from big, profligate cars, but still seek some fun motoring.

U.S. set to raise fuel-economy standard

Tue, 19 May 2009

Government regulators will get their prize of higher fuel-economy standards, and automakers will get the certainty of a national emissions standard, under new rules to be proposed Tuesday by President Barack Obama. The fleet average fuel economy for automakers will rise to 35.5 mpg in 2016 under the president's proposal--10 mpg more than today's mandate. At the same time, the president's proposed rule will cut carbon emissions, thought to be a key factor in global warming.
