You don't have to wait until 2011 to go topless in a Camaro
Fri, 21 Aug 2009Spending $16,000 or more to make a Camaro into a Camaro convertible isn't a rational decision, but we can certainly understand people wanting one. We drove the concept version of this car from Chevrolet two years ago ("Top This!" AW, July 2, 2007) and loved it. Back then, Chevrolet planned to release a convertible version of the new Camaro in November 2009, but an economic cliff intervened, pushing production to the second quarter of 2011.
Vauxhall ADAM S gets 148bhp: Geneva Motor Show
Mon, 03 Mar 2014The 148bhp Vauxhall ADAM S debuts at Geneva The Vauxhall ADAM S heading for a debt at Geneva this week may be billed a concept, but it’s a racing certainty it will turn up in a Vauxhall showroom near you before too long. With a 1.4 litre Turbo ECOTEC engine good for 148bhp, the ADAM S promises to be properly lively around town (Vauxhall hasn’t decided how quick it is to 62mph yet) and will reach 137mph if you feel the need. Thankfully, Vauxhall has also endowed the ADAM S with a performance chassis to make the most of the extra performance and tweaked the steering for more feedback.
Armored Škoda Superb from SVOS has a few tricks up its sleeve
Mon, 29 Jul 2013We've all read about armored BMW and Mercedes-Benz cars, and a few of us can even spot them in traffic, but there are plenty of armored options for slightly less flash transportation. Large German sedans make great platforms for armoring, and are one of the most popular choices in countries where there is a need for that sort of thing, but they're far from being the only sedans that can offer security-minded customers the relative peace of mind that comes with ownership of such a car. Besides, if you need to travel discreetly, a Mercedes-Benz S-class isn't always the best option -- which is why armoring companies will gladly modify less-obvious cars like the new Škoda Superb.
