Concept Car of the Week: Mazda Taiki (2007)

Mazda had been doing fantastically well with its concepts since the end of 2006, and its offering for the 2007 Tokyo motor show didn't buck the trend. The fourth in the 'Nagare' series that explored the idea of 'Flow, it lined up on the Mazda stand with its older brothers for the first time, and was understandably a most impressive display and one of the highlights of this show. Porsche Panamera V6 (2010 / 2011) revealed +video

The Porsche Panamera V6 will debut in April at the Beijing Motor Show A year on from the launch of the Porsche Panamera in China last year, Porsche has revealed that the Porsche Panamera V6 will join the Panamera lineup and – in yet another sign of the importance of the Chinese market – will be revealed at the Beijing Motor Show in April. The Panamera V6 comes with either rear wheel drive – the Porsche Panamera – or 4WD – the Porsche Panamera 4 – and gets a new 3.6 litre V6 petrol lump producing 300bhp and 295lb/ft of torque. Fitted with Porsche’s PDK ‘box both models get stop/start to trim emissions and improve economy.

Callaway to give 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra a boost

Callaway has just announced the debut of supercharged versions of the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra pickup trucks. This news comes only weeks after Callaway made known their intentions to fit market a version of the Silverado with an Eaton TVS supercharger. The Connecticut-based tuner has developed a new supercharger manifold and some other hardware for the new Chevrolet L83 Ecotec engine, which is expected to produce around 455 hp (though these are preliminary figures).
