OEM left remote and manual sport mirrors for 1971-1972 Olds 442/Cutlass. They may fit Chevelle, GTO/LeMans,Gran Sport/Century too. These are the factory mirrors that mount to a mounting bracket on the door - not the stud mount style.

Both mirrors are in charcoal primer. The driver's mirror has some scratches in the glass so a better replacement driver's side mirror glass assembly is included. The passenger side glass has light, faint scratches. I believe it is acceptable for driver applications. It is in good shape for a 42 year old mirror. Of course, replacement mirror glass is available on eBay too.

Also included are the satin chrome bezel for the inside door panel and the retainer bracket and clip. The bezel appears brown tinted in the picture, but it is in great shape. It must have been from the lighting. The original chrome finish is bright with no pitting.

Paint the mirrors and install them.

1960 Maserati Birdcage to cross the block at Mecum Monterey auction

Tue, 14 Jun 2011

Mecum Auctions is touting a 1960 Maserati Tipo 61/60 sports racer--a “Birdcage” series original--as part of its high-profile lineup for its Monterey sale this summer. The 1960 Maserati Tipo 61/60 Birdcage stands for a creative streak in Maserati's design. It was originally built for legendary Le Mans racer Briggs Cunningham, now a member of the International Motorsports Hall of Fame, and competed at Sebring in 1960.

New British car company coming?

Fri, 17 Jan 2014

British entrepreneur David Brown, not to be confused with the late Aston Martin owner Sir David Brown or the former British Prime Minister, has announced the upcoming debut of a new luxury sports-car brand bearing his name. Brown has teamed up with ex-Land Rover chief designer Alan Mobberley to create the new car, dubbed "Project Judi" for now. This wouldn't be an update of any existing model but rather an all-new exterior and interior design.

Mini takes to the field for London 2012

Mon, 06 Aug 2012

Although there’s no motorsport in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Mini will be making an appearance during the track and field events in the Olympic stadium. A fleet of three remote-controlled, quarter-scale Mini Cooper JCWs are charged with retrieving javelins, discus, shot and hammer, and will cover around 6000 metres per day while on duty. Each ‘mini Mini’ has a potential payload of 8kg, and will be operated by specially-trained ‘Games Makers’.
