| This intermediate hood release cable was removed from a 1975 Corvette and will fit 70-76 Vettes. This is the cable which mounts to the underside of the hood and runs between the two female hood latches. There are a couple of cracks in the plastic housing, but the cable is solid and all parts move freely. If you win more than one item, I will attempt to combine them into the same box to save you shipping costs, but keep in mind that some items cannot be combined because of size or weight. Wed, 22 May 2013It’s the first properly good news from Lotus for a while, and looks a promising offering at the same price (£52,800) as the tin top Exige S and, remarkably for a convertible, actually weighing less than the hard top – although by only 10kg. The Exige S Roadster gets the same 3.5 litre V6 as the coupe which means 345bhp, 295lb/ft of torque and a 0-60mph of a very respectable 3.8 seconds, but it does lose the coupe’s rear wing and front splitter for better airflow. The folding roof on the Roadster is a manual affair, but Lotus say fresh air motoring is just ‘Two clicks and a roll away’, so the manual roof is probably the best – and lightest – option.
Fewer commuters but longer journeys
Thu, 27 Mar 2014PEOPLE ARE TRAVELLING further to get to work but the number of commuters is falling as more staff work from home, according to official figures. Based on Census statistics, the average distance travelled to work in England and Wales increased from 8.3 miles (13.4km) in 2001 to 9.32 miles (15km) in 2011. Those living in the Midlands and south west England had the largest increase in average distance travelled between 2001 and 2011 - going an extra 1.36 miles (2.2km).
