Call for bus commuter tax break
Thu, 30 Jan 2014A NEW TAX allowance should be introduced so that firms can help staff pay for the cost of commuting to work by bus, a campaign group has urged. Greener Journeys said people on lower incomes were more reliant on buses as they were less likely to have a car. The group, which promotes sustainable travel, said a "bus bonus" scheme should be launched, arguing it would boost the economy and improve access to jobs.
Rolls-Royce Phantom: the oh-so-subtle 2009 facelift
Mon, 16 Feb 2009By Alex Michaelides First Official Pictures 16 February 2009 15:23 It’s the moment the aristocracy have been waiting for: Rolls-Royce has unveiled its new, and oh-so-mildly improved, Phantom and Phantom Extended Wheelbase. Changes have been made both inside and out for 2009. This will be the first time the stately Phantom has been properly updated since its arrival in 2003.
Subaru Forester (2009): first official pictures
Thu, 27 Dec 2007By Phil McNamara First Official Pictures 27 December 2007 14:50 This is Subaru's all-new Forester estate, set to be unveiled at January's Detroit motor show. Devoted fans won't be disappointed, because the 2009 model year Forester dogmatically sticks to the Forester formula: a jacked up, four-wheel drive wagon, but with a newish look, more refinement and improved safety levels, says Subaru. Today's boxy, oldschool Volvo-look makes way for a boxy, newschool Mitsubishi Outlander-look. The lamps, grille and glasshouse are slightly more expressive than on the current car, but Subaru isn't breaking any new ground for car design. Good job, because last time that happened, the Tribeca MPV was inflicted on the world.
