Up for bid is a nice upper a/c compressor bracket removed from a 1977 Trans Am. This should fit all of the 70-81 Trans Ams and firebirds that have a/c with the log style compressor. This is the bracket that mounts to the compressor bracket and in turn mounts to the engine intake manifold. You get just the pictured bracket, in great driver condition. It should be painted and detailed before it is installed in your show car (Good for a driver). A great auction if your bracket is missing or you want to add factory a/c to your car. Winner to add $9.00 shipping and handling, and payment is due via paypal as per Ebay listing rules. I will combine shipping when possible so check my other auctions out. OVERSEAS BIDDERS: I will ship overseas but winning bidder must pay extra postage, so please wait for invoice. Currently parting out a 1977 TA, a 75 T/A and a 1973 Firebird, so e-mail with your needs and I’ll list the parts on ebay. Check my other auctions as I am cleaning out the garage and need to make some room. Good luck to all!!

Mercedes SLA Roadster looks likely

Sat, 06 Dec 2008

As car manufacturers start to look with fresh eyes at smaller, cheaper cars, reports from Germany confirm that Mercedes is close to committing to the SLA, a small Roadster to be based on the next generation A-Class platform. The original SLA concept was shown at Detroit in 2000, and aimed to slot in beneath the SLK. But at that time Mercedes didn’t have a suitable platform on which to base the car, and the project was shelved.

Tue, 08 May 2012

It's the Vauxhall Adam - name after Adam Opel GM’s MINI rivalling new small car for Europe will be the Vauxhall Adam, an odd name to celebrate the founder of Opel. It’s been known as the Opel ‘Junior’ (and, of course, Vauxhall ‘Junior’ for the UK) as it’s been blatting round roads camouflaged with swirly paint and bolt-on panels. But now it has a name, and the name is Adam (we also got the Adam ‘writing’ out its own name on the roads of Frankfurt in a rather odd introduction to the new ‘Mini’ car – video below).

One Lap of the Web: The Weird World of Wheels

Wed, 14 May 2014

-- Introducing the greatest television show you've never heard of: "Operation: Mystery!" Imagine if the "X-Files" took place in 1960s Japan, and had its own cool custom car the heroes rolled around in: the Tortoise, a pudgy little thing that resembled the unholy combination of an Opel GT and a Dustbuster. It was bulletproof (not really), had gullwing doors (really) and was based on a Subaru 360 (really!). Sadly, its whereabouts are unknown, and it might have disappeared into the ether along with the UFOs its heroes probably investigated.
