70 Mustang Mach 1 High Back Bucket Seats With Auto Seat Back Release Grande Rare on 2040-parts.com
Jacksonville, Florida, US
Here we have a nice pair of 1970 Mustang Front High Back Bucket Seats from a Mach 1 or Grande that have been in storage for over 20 years. This extra clean set has the highly desirable option of electrically operated automatic seat back releases. Offered as a convenience upgrade on high end cars such as the Thunderbird, Ford enginners adapted this option to dress up their Mustangs and Cougars. A simple wiring lead from the door jamb harness to the upper seat back would automatically release the seat tops when the door is opened, eliminating the need for using the handle on the seat. Recovered early in their life they are sporty looking set with vinyl outside trim and a comfortable cloth insert in the middle.
We have cleaned and inspected this set of frames and found the padding and springs to be in excellent condition. The vinyl is not brittle or tattered and the cloth inserts are in good shape with only a couple of flaws. As an added bonus we are including a nice set of tracks that are free moving and functioning as designed for a simple bolt in and enjoy purchase.
This ginger front set is complete, and although this set is presentable and usable, we are sure those with pristine or show cars will want to make a trip to the upholstery shop to meet your exacting standards. We would rather under sell it than under sell it, since we know the concours buyer often expects more than we can deliver.
Don't miss the chance to add this rarely seen, ultimate interior option of automatic electric seat releases to your Mach 1. This pair of 43 year old seats that would be in good enough condition to install in a daily driver and we're sure this set will please most if not all!

Mercedes unveils GLA sport utility at Frankfurt
Wed, 11 Sep 2013The role of the coming Mercedes GLA sport utility is clear: woo new buyers to the brand with a competent, stylish entry-level SUV. The small off-roader should do just that when it arrives in U.S. showrooms in the fall of 2014.
Renault Electric x 4 for Frankfurt
Thu, 10 Sep 2009The Renault Electric Car Concepts which will show at Frankfurt ‘Renault Set to Shock’ is about the total content of the information we got sent on four new electric car concepts from Renault which are going to show at Frankfurt. This is apparently the core of Renault’s new ‘Zero Emission Product Range’. So what do we see in the completely unhelpful pictures.
UK has more EV charging points than electric cars
Sun, 15 Jan 2012The UK has more charging points than EVs Department for Transport figures say that there are now more charging points in the UK for electric cars than there are EVs. Yes, we have little time for electric cars as anything more than urban runarounds for those with enough spare cash to pay through the nose for inferior technology. And it’s becoming clear that the great British car buying public feel much the same.
