This is a NEW super heavy duty, stock stall speed, lockup torque converter for 1982-1984 TH700-R4, and all years of the 200-4R, 27 spline transmissions. This converter will be perfect for heavy towing, big tire applications and high HP. (Does not fit 2.8L, 3.1L, 3.4L engines) This balanced and pressure tested converter is fully brazed and has larger diameter Torrington bearings, billet flanged hub, and the HD carbon metalic lockup clutch. The stall speed on this converter will be 1400-1500 RPM and will be fine for up to 600 hp.   Just like all torque converters, your actual stall speed will depend on your vehicle; HP, torque, etc. The more power you have the higher your stall speed. This is why most companies give a range of stall speeds. There is absolutely “no” core charge, or need to return a core.  Please visit my other auctions and new eBay Store for great deals on shift kits or other transmission parts.

McLaren mysteries: Some things you might not know about the P1 and its maker

Fri, 03 May 2013

The McLaren P1 is one of the most spectacular supercars in the world, and it's been an object of fixation for enthusiasts since it debuted as a concept last fall in Paris. The basics are well known: a 903-hp hybrid powertrain, carbon-fiber for almost everything, and taut, curvaceous styling that introduces McLaren to a fresh generation. The P1 grew out of a somewhat hokey mission statement that McLaren produced back in 2009.

New Mercedes SL 400 replaces SL 350

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

The new Mercedes SL 400 (pictured) replaces the old SL 350 It’s a little over two years since the latest Mercedes SL arrived, and Mercedes has now decided to add a little zest to sales by dropping the old SL 350 and replacing it with a new Mercedes SL 400. The new SL 400 gets its power from the new E400 which means a twin-turbo 3.0 litre V6 with 328bhp and 354 lb/ft of torque – 26bhp and 81 lb/ft more than the old SL 350 – enough to let the SL 400 scoot to 62 mph in 5.2 seconds – 0.7s better than the 350 -= and on to a limited top speed of 155 mph. The new SL 400 has to make do with Mercedes tried and tested 7-speed auto – despite a new 9-speed now being available in Mercedes’ arsenal – which gives the SL 400 official economy of 38.6 mpg and emissions of 172g/km – not that you’ll come close in the real world.
