I have up for auction a 1968 BUICK 430 Rochsester Carburetor.  This carb would have been correct for a vehicle with a Buick 430 engine.  THIS CARB WAS ORIGINALLY AN NOS REPLACEMNT.  It was used for a short period but still retails its original coloring, and sticker, etc.  Carb is a little dusty and dirty but all parts move freely.  See Pictures and judge for yourself.

The numbers on this carb are: 7028240 A MD

Will work on other GM engines too, Grand sport, Electra, Riviera, Skylark, Apollo, Century, w/ 400 430 403 & 455.

This carb is being sold as is , for parts or rebuilder.  I recommend a rebuild on all carbs before using if perfection is desired.  There may be missing parts that I am not aware of, see pictures and determine for yourself.

Concept Car of the Week: Plymouth XNR (1960)

Fri, 22 Feb 2013

In the early ‘50s, both GM and Ford offered attractive and exciting sports cars, symbols of a proud post-war America. Ford had the Thunderbird and GM the Corvette, but Chrysler's approach was more pragmatic, producing cars that were practical and robust but also slow. After commissioning a long series of concepts designed by Italian carrozzeria Ghia, Chrysler gave a free hand to its design chief Virgil Exner to inject some life into its lineup.

A Fine Day For Birmingham Police

Mon, 20 Jan 2014

POLICE in Birmingham have discovered they are not immune from traffic fines, after figures released by West Midlands Police show that local law enforcement have fallen foul of the city’s tough stance on bus lane offenders. In a hard-line approach, which had drawn criticism from some drivers, Birmingham City Council put up new signs on existing bus lanes in the heart of the city barring all other vehicles from using them and enforcing the rule with traffic cameras to catch the culprits who flout the ban. As a result, a reported 60,000 fines were issued by the end of last year following the scheme's launch in September, with police drivers accounting for 408 of those transgressions and individual drivers responsible for payment of the fine.
