This auction is for the original alternator removed from a 2006 Tige 20V Wakesurf boat.  The engine it was attached to is a GM Vortec 340HP MPI.  The engine had 200 hours when the alternator was removed and replaced with a higher amperage alternator.  The alternator is in excellent working condition.  There is no part number on the alternator, however, it is a fairly standard bolt configuration for a wide range of GM Marine Power V8 engines.  Mercruiser 862031T1 is a possible cross-reference.  Please do your research before purchasing (Note that this alternator supports two belts).  Please let me know if you have any questions (dimensions, fit related).  A brand new connector cable is supplied.

New Ford S-Max Concept at Frankfurt Motor Show

The New Ford S-Max Concept (pictured) will debut at Frankfurt Ford’s sporty take on the Galaxy – the Ford S-Max – has been with us since 2006, so it’s time for a change. But with Ford in Europe not having the best of times and the new Ford Mondeo not expected to arrive until 2014, the all new S-Max – which will have underpinnings from the new Mondeo – won’t be arriving until 2015. But in the absence of anything new to show at Frankfurt, Ford has put together a Concept version of the new S-Max to try and show Europe it really does have new stuff on the way.

UK Car Sales down 272,000 in 2008

Well, we knew the car industry was in trouble, and that in the last quarter of 2008 car sales fell off a cliff. But it has now been confirmed that overall sales for the UK in 2008 fell by 272,212 units, or 11.3%. December figures alone showed a drop of 21.2% year on year.

The unique RHD Mercedes Benz CLK-GTR The CLK-GTR is a by-product of Mercedes’ involvement in the FIA GT1 class in the late ’90s. A condition of entry for cars was that road-going versions had to be made, so Mercedes (along with Porsche, who built the even rarer Porsche 911 GT1 to compete in the series) bit the bullet and produced a very limited run of the GTR. Despite a passing resemblance to a CLK, the only parts that were actually CLK were the grill and the dash housing.
