This listing is for a complete intake manifold, carburetor, air intake cleaner housing, heat riser tube, and mechanical heat choke set. This complete set were taken off a 1971 Chevelle. All pieces came together from factory.
The casting number on the air intake manifold is 3973467. Meaning this is the big boy 2 barrel carburetor and intake. With an output rating of 240 HP. When it was pulled the engine was running. Carb has sat for about 7 years now on the shelf and might have dried up seals. VW Beetle Turbo, Jetta GLI get power increase
Fri, 03 May 2013Volkswagen's 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is getting a 10-hp boost; the engine is now rated at 210 hp while torque remains unchanged at 207 lb-ft. The engine will be available on the Volkswagen Beetle Turbo coupe and convertible and the Jetta GLI sport sedan. VW claims the new engine shaves 0.2 seconds off the Beetle Turbo's 0-60 mph time, which is now estimated at 6.6 seconds.
