What a great find! Ready to Rock... Check my feedback, and BID WITH CONFIDENCE. FILE photos show a recently sold item SIMILAR to the one you will receive. Date code unknown.   

This 1972 issue Olds 350 4-bbl Intake shows NO CRACKS AT ALL with cursory inspection in the usual places- between large carb bores, and at the thin spots near the hole by the #5 runner.

DESCRIPTION: Your bid is for an excellent original factory issue INTAKE MANIFOLD as used on the 72 1972 Oldsmobile with the 350 engine

Your bid is for a clean bare  intake manifold as shown in the FILE PHOTOS. Your bid on this items pays for the CORE INTAKE, along with the thorough cleaning and crack check to ensure that the part is serviceable.  At this time, your intake is oily and dirty and on the shelf.  

PLEASE NOTE: It will take a week or so to get the intake to the machine shop and have them blast it clean like you see here.  That way we can be sure that cracked junk will not be shipped, and it is ready for a final cleaning and installation.  The final installer is the final inspector, and should of course thoroughly clean all engine parts inside and out before use.  

WHAT ELSE DOES IT FIT and work on?  This intake is identical in every way other than the casting ID to the 4-bbl intakes used on all the 1970 thru 1972 Rear Wheel Drive Olds 350 gasoline engines.  Direct Swap.  It will also fit all other such small blocks from the 1964 330  thru the last of the big-port 307 V8's.  Earlier engines used a different type choke.  Later engines had EGR which is not present here. Former 2-bbl engines will probably require basic alterations to the throttle cable, etc. Some earlier intakes used a different pipe thread size for the heater hose.  All easy to work around.  As long as your heads have the std size pre-smog large intake ports and bear the large casting ID 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, (7 with tiny A), 8, 3A, or 5A, this intake will match perfectly.  If you can do w/o the EGR function, and work with having the Hot Air choke, then it replaces any intake with large casting ID 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, or A4.

 CONDITION:   These intakes sometimes have a CRACK along the outer edge of the gasket surface, or at the slimmest part of the casting between the large rear carb bores.  These imperfections DO NOT affect the fitment or use of the intake. I generally run a tap thru all threaded holes to ensure the next user will have no thread issues. Threads too bad to use will be Heli-Coiled.  There is usually some pretty severe pitting from rust in the external heat crossover area. Minor pitting is to be expected where the thermostat gasket goes- the gasket and sealer will take care of that nicely.  See the pictures and inquire for more pix/ info before buying if necessary.

BMW are reportedly working on a tri-turbo diesel version of the X5M Car makers are getting some extraordinary numbers out of their products at the moment. I mentioned the other day my super-fast 3.0 litre Ford Capri from the ’70s that delivered a then stonking great 138bhp. And around 20mpg.

The 2009 Ford Focus RS - Good for 164mph [ad#ad-1] Ford in Austria has finally let loose some concrete information on the much anticipated 2009 Ford Focus RS, which looks set to be one barn-stormer of a car. With almost 300bhp, a 0-60 time in the high 5 seconds and a top speed of 164mph, the Focus RS looks an enticing package for the boy racers. Austrian prices are quoted at €39,000, which at today’s rotten rates equates to about £32.5k.
