The BMW M5 is back!

BMW's M division has gone back to the drawing board with the M5, giving the fifth generation of the iconic four-door a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine—the first time Munich's class-defining performance sedan has gone without a naturally aspirated powerplant since its introduction in 1984. Mercedes launches Attention Assist

To counter dozing off while driving, which Mercedes claims accounts for a quarter of all major motorway accidents, its engineers have developed an innovative driver support system called Attention Assist. As well as registering linear and lateral acceleration, indicator and pedal operation and vehicle speed, the system also monitors steering response - the most important indicator of fatigue according to Mercedes, is tired drivers have difficulty in keeping their vehicle precisely on track.

Hennessey readies 2014 Chevy Corvette Stingray package with 1,000 hp

The 2014 Corvette Stingray made its world debut at the Detroit auto show less than two months ago, but Texas tuner John Hennessey is already working on upgrades. Hennessey Performance plans to offer upgrades for both the C7 coupe and the C7 convertible. Supercharged systems will bring output to 700 hp and higher-priced twin-turbo setups push power to anywhere from 800 hp-1,000 hp.
