New Standard Hygrade carburetor rebuild kit.  Kit is for Rochester Quadrajet carburetor M4MC (4 bbl, manual choke).  Carburetor rebuild kit includes small soft parts, seals and gaskets necessary to rebuild a factory carburetor.  Includes complete gasket set, needle and seat.  Carburetor kit does not include hard parts, such as jets, metering rods, bushings, choke, linkages, float, diaphragms, etc, all of those components mush be reused.  It is extremely important that check your existing carburetor # on the side of your carburetor and match it up to the compatible carburetors listed below, your carburetor may have been changed at one time!

This kit WILL NOT work with any other carburetor # other than listed above!  For those of you whom have never rebuilt a carburetor, it is not as difficult as it seems, HOWEVER, it is suggested that you take numerous photos of your carburetor BEFORE disassembling, especially linkage rod orientation, screw location, adjustment screw positions, etc.  Float and choke adjustment are required, a chart is included for the adjustment specifications.  A carburetor can be rebuilt with a few screwdrivers, some carb cleaner (not included), some patience, and some time.  If you run into a problem during repair, please contact us.

Hyundai plots UK imports of Genesis Coupe

By Ben Whitworth Motor Industry 17 August 2008 17:49 Spurred on by massive interest in its Genesis Coupe Concept at the British International Motor Show, Hyundai UK is seriously considering importing a small number of the muscular 306bhp V6-engined coupes in left-hand drive format to sate local demand. At the moment, test engineers from Hyundai’s UK headquarters are undertaking evaluation drives in the American and Korean versions of the Genesis Coupe to determine which models are best suited to the UK’s driving conditions, and studying the homologation issues such a import decision would raise. 'We took the Genesis Coupe to the Show in order to gauge reaction from an enthusiast audience - the response was overwhelmingly positive and has encouraged us to begin building a business plan around bringing this car to the UK,' Hyundai’s marketing director Andrew Cullis told CAR.

Details of UK's £5000 Plug-In Car Grants published

The Government has signed off the Plug-In Car Grants, giving details of which electric cars qualify for the £5000 grants. The incentive means that cars such as the Vauxhall Ampera will cost £28,995, GM confirmed today. Transport secretary Philip Hammond and business minister Mark Prisk announced the scheme and confirmed which areas will qualify for the second round of Plugged-In Places funding - allowing councils to install electric car recharging networks.
