74-89 Porsche 911 912 930 Pair of 2 Rear Seat Backs - BLACK -Very Good Condition This pair of rear / jump seat backs are out of a 1985 Porsche 911 Targa and are in very good overall condition. The leatherette covering is in good overall shape with no real scuffs or tears, but does have some wear across the top edge where it meets the shelf. The back carpet is intact. We are in the process of parting out the majority of a complete 1985 911 Targa interior from a race car project, and we also have a couple 928s that are in the process of being dismantled from several other projects. Today sees the start of the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed with the Moving Motor Show ahead of the weekend’s real petrolhead fun, and McLaren are out in force. The 2013 McLaren MP4-12C will be on show for the first time complete with its extra 25bhp, programmable engine note, remote passenger door opening and extra trim options.
56% of drivers 'underestimated car expense'
Thu, 10 Jul 2014MORE THAN half of people who have bought a second-hand car in the last two years have found it more expensive to run than they expected, according to a Government-backed body. Some 56% of motorists said that total cost, including maintenance, repairs, insurance and fuel had turned out to be higher than anticipated and one in five drivers (20%) have resorted to going into debt just to keep their vehicle on the road, the Money Advice Service (MAS) found. One in four (26%) of the 3,000 people surveyed who have bought a second-hand car since 2012 now has regrets about their purchase, with many of them saying they had not worked out whether it was really affordable or that the purchase price was too much in the first place.
Bombardier YouCity design competition launched
Thu, 15 Mar 2012Bombardier is sponsoring the YouCity Innovation Competition, seeking design concepts for 'the future of urban mobility'. The online competition, open to design students and professionals, focuses on the evolution of mobility in fast-growing urban areas. With more than two thirds of the world's population expected to live in cities by 2050, the issue of transportation is one that the organizers feel needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Bombardier has selected three cities that represent the different markets for urban mobility around the world: London, UK (mature market), Belo Horizonte, Brazil (BRIC market) and Vientiane, Laos (emerging market).
