Chevrolet UK has its best ever year
Fri, 09 Jan 2009Now admittedly, Chevrolet UK is not starting from a point of market dominance in the UK, but any manufacturer who has managed to increase sales in 2008 is obviously doing something right. Chevrolet UK has announced that in 2008 it managed to increase its market share in the UK by 12.5%, from 0.76% to 0.86%, with total sales for the year of 18,372 cars (which is only a smidge higher than 2007, but the lower total sales for the UK Car market in 2008 meant a significant increase in market share for Chevrolet). With a suggested retail price of just a buck less than $7,000, you can get the same 412 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque sits under the hood of new Mustangs. And since the engine mount bosses and bellhousing mount pattern are common with Ford's 4.6-liter V8, the 5.0-liter is an easy swap for older Mustangs.

September was the USA – ending up in NYC – and now the weather’s getting cooler in North America they’ve ventured off to the Middle East. It looks as if Top Gear are busy filming an epic roadtrip across chunks of the Middle East.
