Up for auction is a used pilot box handlebar clamp, or instrument panel lights from a 1975 CB550, pretty good shape, wires & plugs are intact, missing one bulb, other 3 untested.  I was originally going to completely restore the bike, but ran out of money & time, so I'd like for someone else to get some use out of the good parts available.  As with other auctions of the same category, this item does not have any warranty implied, and is sold as-is.

I also have other 1975 CB550 parts, take a look at my other auctions if you need parts for this 74-78 era of Honda CB motorcycles.

Payment via Paypal, will ship the item within 1 business day after cleared payment using USPS, will use a sturdy cardboard shipping box with bubble wrap, air bladders, or foam peanuts to protect the contents during transit.

Thank you

New Mercedes SLS planned – & it won’t be a hybrid

Sun, 17 Mar 2013

AMG’s Tobias Moers has confirmed that a new Mercedes SLS is planned – as is a sub-SLS SLC – but it won’t come with hybrid power and electric assistance. But the Mercedes take on a supercar – the Mercedes SLS – isn’t set to go down the KERS route ant time soon according to AMG’s Director of Vehicle Development, Tobias Moers, who said that a next generation SLS – which is under development – would rely on weight saving and engine tweaking, just like the new Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series (pictured above), rather than electric assistance for its performance. Moers also said that Mercedes and AMG realised that the AMG brand doesn’t have the cachet of Ferrari and they have no plans to produce a car to go head to head with LaFerrari (or even the McLaren P1) so we won’t be seeing a hyper-SLS pushed upmarket in to the firing line of Ferrari any time soon.

Report: Interior Motives China Conference 2009 - Day 1

Mon, 27 Apr 2009

Interior Motives returned once more to the exciting city of Shanghai for its second China design conference, themed ‘China: Changing the landscape of car design'. Held straight after the first Shanghai auto show press day - a day topped off by the Car Design Night, attended by some 300 or so designers - this two-day event saw 27 of the world's foremost car design experts and nearly 250 delegates gather together to debate the future of Chinese car design. Session 1 - Harnessing design awareness Tony Williams, UK design director of China's biggest carmaker, SAIC, kicked off the session by explaining how trend research was finding more savvy and confident Chinese consumers who want their character reflected in the products they buy and "cars they want rather than just need".
