77 MAICO 400AW FORKS, USED. Removed from a Maico motocross bike with frame serial #3300907 and motor serial #R3232188. Very nice set of forks. Forks are straight. Zero rust or pitting on the chrome legs. Lower legs have some scratches. Bottom of lower legs are not dinged up or damaged. The caps have air valves installed, and yes the springs are installed. The axle clamping studs and nuts are good. Both forks compress and extend very smoothly. I drained the oil for shipping and it was fresh and clean with no signs of dirt or moisture. The upper legs measure 38mm in diameter. The length measured from the cap edge to the very bottom is 37 3/4 inches and to the axle hole center is 33 3/8 inches. I measured 9 inches of travel. You will want to install new seals as I have no idea how old the seals are. Install fresh seals and oil and bolt on and use. Formula One in USA: New Jersey to host F1 Grand Prix from 2013
Wed, 26 Oct 2011New Jersey to host F1 Grand Prix of America from 2013 America has always played a marginal part in the F1 Circus. Yes, there have been lots of Grands Prix in the US, but the American public have never embraced F1 fully. But the news that New Jersey will host an F1 Grand Prix for ten years from 2013 could change all that.
Jaguar C-X75 Hybrid Supercar back in the spotlight
Tue, 25 Jun 2013Jaguar release new photos of the C-X75 Supercar A few days ago we heard that the hybrid underpinnings of the canned Jaguar C-X75 were going to find their way in to the F-Type to produce a 700bhp monster. We had our doubts about that, but it does seem clear that Jaguar are not going to let the C-X75 just disappear in to oblivion. For reasons probably known only to Jaguar, they’ve suddenly decided to release a new set of photos (above) of the very good looking C-X75 in a fetching shade of blue – a better look than the pale metallic paint job on all the photos we’ve seen so far – despite the project being shelved.
July 11: Visiting a rival
Sun, 11 Jul 2010I will take it to work all week, including Wednesday when I go to Santa Monica to drive a Nissan Leaf electric car. I wonder how they'll take to seeing a competitor in the parking lot. Not far enough to worry about range, though I will look for a charging spot in Santa Monica.
