Description:

Very rare: Original owner's manuals and pouch set for: 1978 Porsche 911 Turbo (930 chassis) models. This is New Old Stock (NOS) and was never used or stored in a glove box. This is an authentic and original print, period correct and vintage Porsche literature set.

List of contents:

1- Porsche embossed burgundy/maroon manuals pouch (vinyl style storage case) --- without any rips, tears or inside pockets separating - very minor smudge markings may exist because of its long time of storage - shows some ripples and wrinkles - please see photos!

2- Porsche 911SC Driver's Manual Model '78 (4677.20   2.4 M 6/77   Model 1978) 76 pages of reading material and information ---  both covers show minor wear marks - all pages are perfectly clean - the original spiral ring spine is also intact - the original service records section (pages 73-77) have been previously removed - please see photos!

3- Warranty & Maintenance Model '78 booklet (4315.23   5 M 7/77   Model 1978) 20 pages plus both original transfer cards --- New Old Stock (NOS) - no prior owner information and no prior vehicle information have been written in - no previous services have been recorded - this book has been paired up because of the above stated disclosure in red - front covers show delamination because of age - please see photos!

Overall this manual set is in EXCELLENT condition!

For the masochistic car enthusiast--and many of us here at AutoWeek count ourselves among that breed--nothing is sure to tantalize and frustrate quite as nicely as a Lotus. Not just any Lotus, mind you, but a peaky, force-fed, emissions-saddled 1986 Turbo Esprit. The example shown here, http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/ctd/2318628863.html, appears to be a fine specimen of Giguaro's wedgy Brit, and the rear-quarter decals indicate that this is a late HCi model--high-compression plus Bosch fuel injection.
