Smog pump eliminator made from solid aluminum. Replaces factory smog pump using factory mounting hardware from 1986-1993 5.0. No modifications needed, uses OE belt. This is the only alternative to remove the smog pump. Short belting the car puts too much weight on the tensioner and will cause premature failure.

But VW has tried hard with the 2015 Passat and delivered a car that looks Audi-slick and more upmarket, so perhaps the eight generation Passat will be the Passat to finally dominate the segment?
