Dacia Sandero Stepway launched in Europe
Fri, 08 May 2009The Dacia Sandero Stepway will be available in Europe from September The Dacia Sandero Stepway is in fact the European version of the Stepway that was launched in Brazil at the end of last year by the Romanian version of Renault, and has now had its European launch at this week’s Barcelona Motor Show. Based on the Dacia Sandero hatchback, the Sandero features a raised ride height, a satin finished chrome nose and roof bars, 16″ wheels and a chrome exhaust pipe. It comes equipped with EBD (electronic brake distribution) and EBA (emergency brake assist).

GM shifts gears, will keep Opel
Wed, 04 Nov 2009General Motors' board of directors has decided that it will keep the Opel business and restructure it, putting an end to plans to sell the European operations to auto supplier Magna International. GM said it expects the restructuring of Opel to cost $4.42 billion (3 million euros), which it says is lower than the costs associated with outside bids for the company. GM said it will soon present its restructuring plans for Opel to the German government and other governments in Europe.
