Kia GT4 Stinger concept headed to Detroit auto show

The Detroit auto show is just a few days away, and Kia has shown us a glimpse of the concept car that it will be unveiling at the show on January 13th. Dubbed the GT4 Stinger, the concept is a low and wide 2+2 sports car, featuring an expansive grille framed by vertical LED headlights. Like the Kia GT concept we saw in Frankfurt in 2011, the GT4 stinger is supposedly rear-wheel drive.

Pininfarina, the Turin, Italy-based automotive styling house, has announced that its design director, Ken Okuyama, has left the company. In a tersely-worded statement Pininfarina said, "The Company's decision comes as a result of the various external activities Ken Okuyama was carrying out beyond his responsibilities within Pininfarina." Ken Okuyama had been Design Director at Pininfarina since July 2005. During this time, Okuyama's most high-profile work was the Maserati Birdcage prototype, created to celebrate 75th anniversary of the Italian styling house.

The man behind the original Mustang--Lee Iacocca--is back with a custom-built 2009 version that celebrates 45 years of the iconic pony car. Iacocca unveiled a sleek, performance 'Stang named after himself, the Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Edition. It's available through Galpin Ford in Southern California and will be limited to 45 copies.
