Brand new set of Eight (8) COMP Cams / Racing Head Service Sportsman stainless steel intake valves for Small Block Chevrolet cylinder heads. 2.020" Diameter, 5.011" Long (+.100"), 11/32" stem size. RHS Part #6001-8.

Manufacturer's Description:

COMP Cams® Sportsman Stainless Steel Valves are available in a variety of diameters and stem lengths for street/competition engines. Made from 21-4N forged steel alloy with 50 HRc minimum hard tips (eliminates the need for a lash cap), these valves deliver tremendous performance and durability. The hard chrome plated 11/32" stems utilize proprietary oil retention surfacing, rather than thin flash plating.

To increase flow without increasing the valve diameter, high flow under-head fillet relief was added to the design. Additionally, the swirl-polished fillets generate a higher flow rate with reduced radial crack propagation, increasing their resistance to failure.

  • 21-4N forged high-strength stainless steel alloy for performance & durability

  • Chrome-plated stem and hardened valve tip with no lash cap required

  • Spiral polished & under head machining for minimum flow restriction

  • Precision manufactured to strict tolerances & rigorously quality inspected

  • Recommended for all hydraulic & solid flat tappet or roller lifter applications

How Porsche will be integrated into VW

Fri, 20 Nov 2009

By Georg Kacher Motor Industry 20 November 2009 12:32 Although Porsche won't be a fully integrated member of the Volkswagen group before mid-2011, the sports car maker can even at this early point in the merger no longer make independent strategic decisions. After all, Martin Winterkorn has effectively been appointed head of the Porsche SE Holding which in turn employs the Porsche AG chairman Michael Macht.  With a takeover as costly and complicated to fund as this one – all in all, VW will have to fork out a staggering €16 billion to absorb the latest family member – it is only logical that the new owner wants to get the restructuring process going asap. Overnight, Porsche has become easily VW's most expensive brand. How VW will integrate PorscheTo protect and eventually enhance its value, the powers in Wolfsburg will leave no stone unturned to rearrange the product portfolio, to streamline R&D, to shake up purchasing and production, and to ensure a variety of synergies which are estimated to range from €500m to €750m per year.
