Brand new black zinc-plated shifter stick kit:

  • Fits 1993-2002 Camaro & Firebird - 6 SPEED ONLY
  • Stick is 8" tall - slightly shorter than stock for those looking for a solid feel but with stock knob height
  • (See my other listings for shorter 6.5" stick kits)
  • Mounts on LEFT side of stub, for near-stock knob offset
  • Mounting bolts included
  • 16mm x 1.50 knob threads
  • Includes a WHITE engraved knob - 2 1/8" diameter w/ recessed brass thread master & Hurst jam nut
  • Knob has plain sides (no logo), sold in bulk as pictured - no retail packaging
  • Intended for use with stock & factory Hurst shifter bases ONLY
  • WON'T FIT ANY AFTERMARKET SHIFTER - they all have straight stubs & most do not use 8mm bolts
  • Kit with BLACK knob available in my other listings
  • Stick also sold alone, in my other listings

This stick is higher quality than the others you might find; most don't even have properly cut threads, and many are unplated bare steel or aluminum!  This one fits perfect, doesn't need a spacer, is machined 100% correct here in USA, and is black zinc plated for protection!  Looks as good as stock!  Works a lot better!  Solid, precise feel too!

How do you tell a "factory" Hurst base from an aftermarket Comp Plus Hurst base?  They both use silver diecast housings.  Generally factory bases have a yellow zinc plated base with a yellow zinc stub that is angled toward the driver; the aftermarket Comp Plus bases usually have a dark grey base plate with a dark grey stub that is dead vertical.  Colors sometimes vary, the stub shapes do not.

So the Toyota FT-EV II is exactly what Toyota believes the EV future is – a small, slow city car. Toyota say of the FT-EV – “… (its) design and technology look to a future society where EVs will be in common use, among a range of different means of transport that will reflect user requirements, the type of energy used and the local energy supply infrastructure”.

Car owners targeted by litter law

Tue, 28 Jan 2014

CAR OWNERS could be fined if other people drop litter out of their vehicles under new laws approved by peers. The new law would mean the registered owner of a vehicle would face a civil penalty even if they were not responsible for the littering. Home Office minister Lord Taylor said it would give councils an extra power to tackle the "scourge" of rubbish lying on the roadside.
