Flashback: 1994-96 Chevrolet Impala SS rocked rear-wheel, V8 power
Thu, 17 May 2012Enthusiasts are already licking their chops as they await the next rear-wheel sedan from Chevrolet. After all, it's been 16 years since the bow-tie brand had a macho four-door of this potential with the power channeled to the back. But what exactly was the 1996 Impala SS?
McLaren P1 driven by Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson (video)
Fri, 11 Oct 2013McLaren P1 driven by Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson (pictured) It’s only a few days since McLaren revealed the first customer P1s are now rolling out of McLaren’s clinical production facility in Woking, and it looks like Jeremy Clarkson has bagged one to play with. The video (below) shows Clarkson behind the wheel of the new P1 which, judging by the number plate, is probably one of the first customer cars on the road. The opinionated one is preceded in the video by a pair of Range Rovers – one new, one old – at least one of which is a camera car, so this drive of the Mclaren P1 is obviously heading for a TV screen soon – hopefully on Top Gear.
Lotus Evora hits London showroom
Sat, 20 Dec 2008Despite the fact that the new Lotus Evora is not due to start delivery until next Summer, Lotus of London, in Park Lane, has this week taken delivery of the first Evora to hit a showroom anywhere in the world, and it will be on show from the 22nd December. The Evora is going to be on display until the 9th January, offering potential buyers, and the terminally nosey, the opportunity to see this exciting new Lotus in the flesh. Finished in Frost White (trendy, but I’m not sure it suits the Evora that well), with a red leather interior, the 2+2 is the first proper new Lotus car for more than a decade.
