Car owners targeted by litter law

CAR OWNERS could be fined if other people drop litter out of their vehicles under new laws approved by peers. The new law would mean the registered owner of a vehicle would face a civil penalty even if they were not responsible for the littering. Home Office minister Lord Taylor said it would give councils an extra power to tackle the "scourge" of rubbish lying on the roadside.

Jeep Wrangler Arctic and Liberty Arctic arrive in time for winter

First the Sahara, now the Arctic: Later this month, two new Jeep special editions will appear in dealerships--the Wrangler Arctic and the Liberty Arctic, inspired by the extreme conditions they're reportedly designed to attack. The Jeep Wrangler Arctic two-door, based ironically on the Sahara model, is available in winter-themed colors such as Winter Chill (a light blue), Bright Silver and Bright White. First Ferrari 458 Italia in U.S. auctioned for $530,000 to benefit Haiti

It's one thing to own a Ferrari; it's another to be the first one to own an all-new model. The first 458 Italia was auctioned off on Thursday night for $530,000 in a stunning charity gala held at a Beverly Hills estate that made the Clampett mansion look like the carriage house where the pool boy stayed. Auctioneer David Gooding donated his services and got the ball rolling at $250,000, which was more than the expected MSRP for the car of about $220,000.
