LIQUIDATING MY 30 YEAR COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE TOOLS & TOOL CATALOGSThis is MAC Tools catalog #MT-481-cat, appears to date from 1981. All the general automotive tools of the day with many specialties. Nicely illustrated/photographed catalog with 264 pages including index, in part color, cardstock covers 8 1/2" x 11" full size format. This catalog is in good overall condition with lightly scuffed covers, normal handling wear but interior mostly clean, complete with tight binding. It's priced accordingly. MAC was a direct competitor to all the major tooling manufacturers such as Bonney, Cornwell, Herbrand, OTC, Snap-On and others. Since 1938 they have remained a strong competitor producing a quality product and still exist as a going-concern nearing their 80th year anniversary. Their fine old tools have survived the years and can still be found in the tool boxes of professional mechanics, at swap meets, eBay and estate sales.Email with questions, I ship internationally. |

But that claim is something Jeremy will have to qualify by location in future after the French ‘Rozzers’ nicked both Clarkson and Richard Hammond on a Top Gear drive in France last month. How we all managed to miss this little snippet of news when Jeremy revealed it in his column in The Sun last month, we don’t know.

We’ve only just had confirmation that a new BMW 7 Series SUV is on the way as BMW continues to push at both ends of their range, with the X7 aimed at the new Range Rover and Mercedes GL. Now it seems BMW are also looking to build a car that can take on the very high-end Mercedes S Class – especially the S Class Maybach when that arrives – and maybe scoop up a few sales from lower-end Rolls Royce and Bentley buyers.

The deal effectively takes £1,200 off the list price of the entry-level Alto SZ. That makes the five-door runabout just £5,999 to buy, and with a low deposit of £779 it can be driven away for £99 per month.
