This came off a running 1981 Suzuki GS550T with what is believed to have been 17,086 miles on it. The gauges were severley damaged making the exact miles questionable. We did perform a compression test and the results are as follows: cyl1=150psi, cyl2=140psi, cyl3=145psi and cyl4=150psi. MOTORCYCLES, scooters and mopeds are among the modes of transport least likely to affect your general wellbeing, according to a government travel survey. The Office for National Statistics released a report earlier this year examining the impact of commuting patterns on people’s levels of anxiety, happiness and satisfaction. For journeys up to 30 minutes there was no negative effect on levels of happiness or anxiety for those who rode a motorcycle, moped or scooter to work.

BYD E6 – Next Gen Electric Car battery technology

Chinese car maker BYD are using revolutionary battery technology in the BYD E6 The biggest problem with electric cars (or one of them, at least) is that the battery technology is not really up to the ambitions of car makers. Chevrolet’s Volt (aka Opel Ampera) is a good case in point. Tellingly, a Toyota tecchy referred to the science behind the Chevvy Volt as ‘Vaporware’, and the whole project is founded on the expectation that the technolgy will develop quickly enough to make the car a reality.

THE MUCH-LOVED new Mini has reached two major milestones this week. Since BMW took over the brand in 2001, three million Minis have now been produced at the plant in Oxford and the company has also reached the two million mark in Minis for export. The three millionth Mini is a five-door Hatch Cooper S and has a special exterior design to celebrate its heritage and British roots.
