2011 BMW 5 Series leaks
Thu, 05 Nov 2009A leaked photo of the 2011 BMW 5 Series We’ve seen the next generation, 2011 BMW 5 Series pounding round the Nurburgring in disguise for quite some time. But with the 2011 5 Series due to hit the car shows in 2010 we’ve finally got hold of what appears to be a leak from the Swedish version of the German car magazine Auto Motor & Sport. The 2011 5 Series is going to be an evolution rather than a revolution.
Mugen Honda CR-Z Hybrid Video ahead of Goodwood
Mon, 13 Jun 2011Mugen Honda CR-Z Hybrid playing on video We reported back in April that Honda had turned to Mugen to see if they could inject anything in to the CR-Z Hybrid that might make it even remotely appealing to a driver. The plan was to take the resulting Mugen Honda CR-Z to this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, to see if the knowledgeable petrolheads that gravitate to the Goodwood Estate like moths to a Summer flame could find something to love in the Honda CR-Z, once it had had some Mugen fairy dust springled on it. We were a bit reluctant to expect anything much of the CR-Z even after Mugen had played, but we were pleasantly surprised to learn that the CR-Z would get a wider track, new suspension and brakes and a drop in weight thanks to some carbon fibre in the mix – most notably the carbon fibre bonnet.
MG6 – A new MG shows at Shanghai
Tue, 21 Apr 2009The new MG6 is unveiled at Shanghai - coming to the UK in 2010 SAIC bought the rights to Rover when Rover fell apart after its sale by BMW for £10. But they didn’t secure all the rights to the ‘Rover’ name, so we won’t be seeing new Rovers by name, but instead we are to get a Rover 75 based MG – the first new MG launch since the ZS and ZT in 2001. Yesterday SAIC unveiled the new MG6, a sport hatchback based on the Rowe 550 (which is itself based on a shortened wheelbase Rover 75) and its destined to come to the UK next year.
