84 85 86 87 Buick Regal Grand National Gnx Delco Gm Am Fm Cassette Eq Radio on 2040-parts.com
Lindenhurst, New York, United States
Hello folks, up for sale today is a super mint
factory original Delco GM digital ETR AM/FM stereo radio with 5-band equalizer,
auto-reverse cassette tape player with search function, and
clock that was taken out of a 1993 Buick Park Avenue. If you are restoring your classic 1980's or 1990's Buick to a 100 point show
car with exceptional details, exact originality, and show quality, then
this radio is just what you are looking for.
This radio model was an expensive upgrade option for the 1991-1994 Buick Park Avenue, Park Avenue Ultra, Lesabre Custom, Lesabre Limited, Riviera, Roadmaster, & Roadmaster Estate station wagon. Please note that although this radio was removed from a newer Buick model, this radio is listed to fit and work perfectly into any 1988 or earlier GM car or truck, specifically the 1984-1987 Buick Regal, T-Type, Grand National, and the 1987 Buick GNX, since this specific radio model is a very popular factory Delco GM upgrade stereo to install since it has much better sound and features than the original 1980's era factory radios. With this radio, I am including a brand new Metra harness conversion adapter for both the wiring and the antenna, that will allow this radio to be installed into any 1988 and older GM car or truck. When installing these two adapters, this will become a plug and play installation, and no splicing or cutting into the original wiring will be necessary, and is very simple and straightforward to perform. This radio will also fit and work perfectly into many other GM cars and trucks from the mid 1980's and throughout the 1990's as well. This radio is in super mint, 100% working condition. The radio was cleaned inside and out, adjusted and lubed. I have tested the radio and it works very well by picking up many stations on both the FM & AM frequencies. When the stereo receives a FM stereo broadcast, the "Stereo" indicator lights up brightly in a light green color. The pushbuttons also work very well and push in very easily, and for storing and recalling the set stations. The stereo also has the SEEK/SCAN features built in. The SEEK feature allows the radio to pick the next best received station without turning the knob. The SCAN feature will do it automatically, staying on each station for five seconds before moving to the next. The "SCAN" indicator will light up for whenever the stereo is in SCAN mode. The vacuum florescent digital readout is in excellent working condition, with no parts of the characters of the numerals are burned out or dull, and have a very nice light green color to them. The stereo is also equipped with a digital clock that displays when the key is turned on and when the radio is off, or after five seconds after tuning in a station. I had the clock hooked up for a couple of hours, and it kept perfect time. The cassette tape player also works perfectly. I tested three cassette tapes and they all played extremely well. The tapes play very clear with no sound distortions or garble. The capstans and head were cleaned, and the speed of the tape was correctly adjusted. The fast forward and reverse switches also works very well, with a quick and quiet motion. The original rubber belt is still very tight and pliable to give you many years of future usage. The tape inserts and ejects nicely. The auto reverse feature also works correctly, with pushing in the "PROG" button automatically plays the other side of the tape; the tape will also switch sides automatically when it is finished playing on one side. The correct tape indicator will light in the display for whichever direction the cassette tape is playing. The cassette player also has a search function which also works excellent. The "PREV" and "NEXT" buttons will automatically advance to the next song or rewind to the beginning of the current song. The 5-band equalizer also work 100% correctly. All 5 bands slide easily with no outside noise or distortion, and has strong sound throughout. This allows you to fine tune the sound to your satisfaction. This radio will work with the standard four speaker setup, or the optional Concert Sound II six speaker radio, and will also work with a power antenna if so equipped. All of the original light bulbs are also working perfectly, as the face of the radio lights up in a light green color, and the "PWR" button and equalizer sliders light up in an amber color. Simply click the picture of the radio being illuminated in the dark to view for yourself. Cosmetically the stereo is in super mint condition, as it looks close to brand new and can be easily installed into a show or museum car. All of the black have a great shine to them and are not cracked or faded. The "PWR" button also has an excellent amber color and is not faded at all. The black face is also in near perfect condition as it has a excellent matte black finish with no fading, chipping, or heavy scratches. The display lens cover is clear with no heavy scratches or marks. All of the font is crisp and clear and looks great. The tape door is also in super mint condition with no scratches or wear. The original decal tags are still attached to the top and back of the radio chassis and look perfect. The factory GM part # for this radio is 16085414. The correct original all black knobs are included and are in super mint condition, but these can be easily be removed to install a different style factory knob, such as the black and brushed stainless outer knobs and chrome inner knobs that are correct for the 1980's Buick models. This original Delco GM radio is 100% factory correct for the 1991-1994 Buick Park Avenue, Park Avenue Ultra, Lesabre Custom, Lesabre Limited, Riviera, Roadmaster, & Roadmaster Estate station wagon. Again please note that although this radio was removed from a newer Buick model, this radio is listed to fit and work perfectly into any 1988 or earlier GM car or truck, specifically the 1984-1987 Buick Regal, T-Type, Grand National, and the 1987 Buick GNX, when used with the two adapters that are provided. This radio will also fit and work perfectly into many other GM cars and trucks from late 1980's throughout the 1990's as well that use the newer smaller harness plug connectors in the back of the radio. **** Also for a similar fee, I can completely restore your factory original Delco GM radio back to 100% working condition as well. Please feel free to contact me if you wish to have this work done as well. **** Having an original factory radio installed will not only rise the value of the car, but it will also score extra points when being judged at a show. These older factory Delco GM radios are becoming very hard to find, so if you are looking to upgrade to this very rare and desirable digital ETR AM/FM cassette EQ stereo, wishing to convert back to a factory Delco GM setup, or looking for a radio for an older hot rod, rat rod, or custom, here's your chance to grab a real show quality radio. This stereo will be shipped with USPS 2-3 Day Priority Mail, so if you have any questions about the stereo or would like a shipping quote please ask. Thank you and good luck. |

Next-generation Land Rover Range Rover photos leaked
Tue, 14 Aug 2012Land Rover has not been one to radically remake the Range Rover with any great haste. The first-generation ute was in production for 26 years, subject only to incremental improvements. The current vehicle, developed during BMW's stewardship of the brand in the 1990s and early aughts, saw a midcycle engine switch from a Munich-bred bent-eight to Jaguar's well-regarded AJ powerplant.
The Acura NSX at 25
Fri, 02 May 2014On Feb. 10, 1989, executives from Honda and a newly founded division known as Acura piled into a conference room in Chicago's historic Drake Hotel to rehearse the unveiling of an unbelievable new car -- a Technicolor vision for the future, something never before built by Honda or any Japanese automaker. As the public relations department went over its lines, Tadashi Kume, then-president of Honda and an instrumental figure in Honda's Formula One efforts, presided.
