For sale is the speedo cable from a 1985 Kawasaki ZL900 Eliminator.  This will fit the following models:

  • ZL900  85 & 86 A (Eliminator)
  • ZL1000  1987 A (Eliminator)
  • ZL600  86 & 87 A (Eliminator 600) / 96 & 97 B (Eliminator 600)
  • ER500  99 & 00 A (ER5) / 01 & 02 C (ER5)
  • VN1500  88 thru 94 A (Vulcan 88) / 95 thru 99 A (Vulcan 1500) / 96 & 97 C (Vulcan 1500 L)
  • ZR750  2000 F (ZR-7) / 01 thru 05 H (ZR-7S)

This speedo cable is in very good condition.  The cable spins freely within the insulation.  There are no breaks nor rubs to the insulation.  The two nuts are good with good threads.  Why buy an aftermarket speedo cable when you can have this perfectly good original Kawasaki cable?  The VIN number of the bike this comes from is JKAZL2A12FA001388 and the motor number is ZL900AE004297.  There were 7733 miles on the bike.  I bought this from a man whose father was the original owner and had recently passed.  The bike had been sitting in his shop since 1993.  Please feel free to email at any time if you have questions concerning this item.  I gladly ship worldwide. The iconic British car maker will use the Geneva Motor Show to announce that its new Rapide four-door coupe will be built in Austria by Magna Steyr.The firm’s Graz factory is expected to build up to 3000 Rapides each year, with deliveries starting in early 2010. As with all Aston Martin engines, the £200,000 Rapide’s 6.0-litre V12 will be built in Cologne.

Camaro poised to claim pony-car sales title over the Mustang for first time since ’85

With just weeks left in the year, Chevrolet’s hot-selling Camaro looks like a lock to win the pony-car sales title in 2010, topping the Ford Mustang for the first time in 25 years. So far this year--Camaro’s first full sales year since production ended after the 2002 model year--Chevy has sold 75,685 Camaro coupes. Mustang sales totaled 68,264 through the first 11 months of the year.

Lexus IS (2013) more details of new 3-series rival

Lexus has pulled the cloth back on the all-new Lexus IS at the 2013 Detroit motor show, and announced more details of its new hybrid 3-series rival. This will be the first hybrid Lexus IS, and UK sales will start in summer 2013.  What do we know about the new hybrid Lexus IS?  The IS300h combines an electric motor with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. The torque output is yet to be confirmed, but there's 217bhp and Lexus is aiming for a sub-100g/km CO2 output and fuel consumption of at least 65mpg. Figures like that are likely to grab the attention of fleet managers, as Lexus hopes to close the gap on rivals like the BMW 3-series, Mercedes C-class and Audi A4.  There's a non-hybrid model too, but this IS250 will be powered by a 204bhp 2.5-litre V6 petrol engine. It won't be a fleet favourite.  The IS250h has a six-speed automatic transmission, the IS300h has a CVT gearbox, and both cars are rear-wheel drive.
