Online driving licence to reduce insurance costs
Thu, 09 Jan 2014First the tax disc, now your driving licence, as government plans to put driving records online are set to make the paper counterpart licence obsolete – reducing your car insurance premium in the process. By creating an online record that insurance companies can easily check, ministers and the Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency (DVLA) expect insurance costs to fall, as insurers will be able to exactly analyse risk rather than hedging their bets. Thu, 05 Apr 2012As Jaguar confirmed its new F-type sports car at the 2012 New York auto show, it issued some teaser video footage of the new £55,000 roadster landing in showrooms in spring 2013. Jag ambassador and former racer Martin Brundle hitches a lift with the company's chief dynamics engineer Mike Cross for a few hot laps in the F-type prototype around its handling circuit at Gaydon. We can safely ignore the hyperbole poring forth ('It's responsive, it's a great car to drive') but it's a good chance to see the all-aluminium F-type in action.

So with the new Santa Fe about to go on sale we though we’d update the details and publish new photos and video for the UK (although there are no swooning beauties in the UK Santa Fe Video – unlike the Dutch one). Hyundai say that their aim with the new Santa Fe was to build on the existing package (which, let’s face it, was a cheap alternative to the offerings from the likes of BMW, Land Rover et al) but add in better looks, better technology and lower running costs.
