The all-new Cadillac CTS has broken cover ahead of its official debut at this week's New York Auto Show. This third-generation CTS is a clear evolution of its predecessors design-wise, but the crucial shift is in its growth – it's now, more logically, alligned to its main competitors, the BMW 5 Series, Lexus GS and Audi A6. Ford has chosen the motoring and motorsport festival to showcase its newest Focus ST, as the Blue Oval prepares to roll out the latest version of its family hatch in the coming months. Benefiting from the technology and quality improvements revealed earlier this year for the regular new Focus, the ST will be displayed on the car maker’s stand and piloted up the famous Goodwood hill over the course of the three-day event.

Fagg captured by DNA on cigarette

A CAR THIEF with the surname Fagg was caught when police found his DNA on a cigarette butt left in the stolen vehicle in Kent. Duncan Fagg, who was using crutches at the time, was captured driving a stolen white Nissan Micra on CCTV from a car park in Gravesend in April last year, police said. Almost two weeks later, a marked police car spotted the stolen Micra heading towards Hoo on the A228.
