Valve Locks, Billet Chromoly Steel, 7 Degree, 11/32 Valve Stem, Set of 16

Crower Billet performance valve stem keepers are precision machined from premium billet bar stock chromoly steel. Heat-treated for maximum strength to insure against shoulder shearing (common with stock and lesser quality keepers). Crower also offer +.050' higher and -.050' lower to achieve the correct installed spring height. Each variation is color coded for identification.Serious engine builders should have a complete selection on hand at all times.

GM claims 23-mpg average in E-ROD 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air

First introduced in 2009, the GM Performance Parts (GMPP) E-ROD program was born with the mission of creating fuel-efficient, emissions-compliant engine packages for hot-rodders. Now the program is back in the news as GMPP claims that an E-ROD-powered 1955 Bel Air returned 23 mpg on a trip from Michigan to Florida while producing emissions comparable to those of a new Camaro SS. All of that green doesn't come inexpensive--or easy.

Toyota's global design chief Tokuo Fukuichi appointed president of Lexus

Toyota's global design chief Tokuo Fukuichi will be the first designer to sit on the company's board of directors when his appointment comes into effect on 1 April. Fukuichi will retain his position as global head of design for the Toyota, Lexus and Scion brands and will join the board after the general shareholders' meeting. His influence on Toyota's design direction over the last few years has been noticeable, particularly with Lexus, as the company strives to make its traditionally very conservative products a little more exciting.
