This auction is for one (1) power trunk release solenoid and one (1) power trunk switch-both are used.

Taken from a 1988 Lincoln Town Car, but I'm sure this was used on other FoMoCo cars of this era--look at pics and check your apps before you bid. This trunk solenoid "straddles" the factory trunk latch.  The trunk solenoid has the numbers 20052845 on it--this is the same part and part number as used on GM cars of this era, also..

Both parts are in reasonably decent shape for their age. The trunk release solenoid is intact and not bent or broken. The switch appears intact and is not cracked or broken. Both items have been tested and they both work as they should.

Nice replacements for missing, broken, or severely corroded originals, OR as items to add to have this conveneince--all that's needed is wire and a power source to make it work.

No reserve.

Ford builds it, you test it

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

Only a select few usually get the opportunity to test out upcoming vehicles. Product development does extensive testing to the extremes, going as far as disguising the F-150 and running it through the 2013 Baja 1000.

Kia is going to be busy at the 2011 Geneva motor show: it will show off the new Rio, as well as the Picanto. These are the first official pictures of the Rio, a smart, very European-looking rival to the Fiesta/Corsa/Polo ancien regime. The new 2011 Kia Rio is bigger in every dimension, apart from height.

Meadow Brook concours celebrates the 'Best of Detroit'

Tue, 28 Jul 2009

For years, the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance has been one of Detroit's best-kept secrets. And this weekend, the show will turn the tables a bit as it celebrates its 30th anniversary by honoring the “Best of Detroit” with a large presence of cars that symbolize the wide-ranging influence of the three automakers whose roots are in Detroit. The annual festival of historic chrome and sheetmetal culminates Aug.
