This 10-wheeler 1942 supercharged V16 Coupe, the personal car of Marvel's villain Johann Schmidt (the Red Skull), is 7,620 mm long and was inspired by cars such as Mercedes' 540K and the G4. The director's instructions for the car's size led to a truck chassis having to be used for the practical film version.
Catalytic converter thefts double in three years

Data compiled from 40 police regions across the UK reveal that in 2012 a total of 8,947 catalytic converters thefts were reported, compared to 3,957 similar cases recorded in 2010. Fisker Karma plug-in hybrid recalled over possible battery-cooling system defect
Fri, 30 Dec 2011Fisker Automotive is recalling 239 Karma hybrid cars to fix a defect in the vehicle's high-voltage battery. The recall notice, posted today on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Web site, says the campaign targets all 2012 Fisker Karma models manufactured between July 1 and Nov. 3 of this year.
